REGIONAL TRAINING FACILITY

The Regional Training Facility was made possible by a partnership between Long Lines, Mid American Energy, and Western Iowa Tech. Community College.  This facility offers a training tower for rope training and rock climbing wall that is open to the public. The facility also offers confined space training.  There is an area set up for live fire extinguisher training and an area for extinguishing live natural gas fires from a gas meter.  The facility also has props for training in farm rescue which includes grain bin rescue.  

The facility is available for businesses and fire departments for training.  To use the facility you may contact Paula at Sgt. Bluff City Hall on Monday- Wednesday @ 712-943-4244 and Thursday -Friday at 712-943-5000, fax a request to 712-943-5006, or email inquires.

The facility has provided training for numerous departments so far in areas of trench rescue and rope rescue.  The facility has also provided training for businesses.  Mid American Energy, Tyson Foods, and Thompson Electric.
